Dr Chris V. Jones is a Bye-Fellow of Selwyn College, and Affiliated lecturer at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge. He works in primarily Mahāyāna Buddhist literature across Sanskrit, Tibetan and Chinese sources, with particular interest in developments in Indian Buddhism around the early centuries of the Common Era. His publications include The Buddhist Self: On Tathāgatagarbha and Ātman (2021, University of Hawai‘i Press), and the collection Buddhism and its Religious Others: Historical Encounters and Representations (2022, OUP).
